1. Service agreement

MS Gas Engineering Services provides gas, heating, and plumbing services as described on our website and in individual service agreements. By using our services or subscribing to a cover plan, you agree to these terms.

All work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers in accordance with current UK regulations and industry best practices.

2. Cover plans

Our cover plans are monthly subscription services. Each plan tier covers the items listed in its description on our Plans & Pricing page.

  • Cover begins once your first payment has been processed and an initial service or inspection has been completed.
  • Pre-existing faults discovered at the first service visit are not covered under the plan.
  • Boilers over 15 years old may have limited cover. We will advise you of any restrictions before you commit.
  • Cover applies to the property specified at sign-up and is not transferable to other addresses without prior arrangement.

3. Payments

Cover plan payments are collected monthly by direct debit or card payment. One-off service fees are payable upon completion of the work.

  • Prices are as advertised on our website at the time of sign-up.
  • We will give a minimum of 30 days' written notice before any price changes take effect.
  • If a payment fails, we will attempt to contact you and re-collect. Continued non-payment may result in suspension of cover.

4. Cancellation & refunds

  • 14-day cooling-off period: if you cancel within 14 days of signing up and no work has been carried out, you'll receive a full refund.
  • Initial 12-month term: all cover plans run for an initial term of 12 months from the date of sign-up. By signing up, you agree to pay the monthly plan fee for the full 12-month term.
  • Cancellation after 14 days: if you cancel after the 14-day cooling-off period but before the end of your 12-month term, you remain liable for the remaining monthly payments due under your plan. We'll work with you to agree a final settlement.
  • After the initial term: at the end of the 12 months, your plan rolls onto a monthly basis. You may then cancel at any time with 30 days' written notice and no further charge.
  • To cancel, contact us by phone, email, or in writing. We'll confirm cancellation and your final payment date.

5. Our responsibilities

We are committed to providing a professional, safe, and reliable service. This includes:

  • All gas work is completed by Gas Safe registered engineers.
  • Our engineers are fully qualified and regularly trained to current industry standards.
  • We hold appropriate public liability insurance to protect you and your property.
  • Work will be carried out with reasonable care and skill in line with industry regulations.

6. Limitations

Our services and cover plans do not extend to the following:

  • Damage caused by third parties, including other contractors or unauthorised modifications.
  • Cosmetic damage to boilers, radiators, or pipework that does not affect functionality.
  • Asbestos removal or any work involving asbestos-containing materials.
  • External drainage systems or underground pipework outside the property boundary.
  • Damage resulting from misuse, neglect, or failure to follow our maintenance advice.

7. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices.

Where changes are material, we will notify customers by email or in writing at least 30 days before the updated terms take effect. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
